Altamira is promoting collaboration efforts between European and Indian Automotive players.
More specifically, it is supporting a €1,6Bn Dutch Automotive group in India in the field of sourced parts and engineering subcontracting, as well as vehicle conversion.
During meetings at Busworld Kortrijk, representatives from both sides have agreed on a list of potential opportunities to be further developed during exploratory senior executive visits. With a first round in India in November ’13 followed by visits in ’14, joint projects are gathering pace and additional cooperation topics are emerging.
In its supporting role, Altamira intends to foster closer ties allowing European manufacturers access reliable sources in the fast-growing Indian market and, vice-versa, Indian manufacturers grow their parts business in Europe.
Benoit François, Managing Partner, Altamira, said: “We are convinced of the potentialities of India’s Automotive market, the fourth largest in the world. Altamira is pleased to offer its network and support EU players with business development opportunities there. Acting as a catalyst for growth, it will play its role in narrowing the cultural gap.”
